Hey! I'm from Prahran. I just moved here a couple of months ago, was previously living in Clayton, and before that, in the middle of nowhere in country Vic.
This thread's making me think that I should venture up to Brunswick to go shopping sometime soon.

I am also from Melb, Right near Southland shopping centre. I am yet to find a great craft shop, and like everyone else i am going to definately have to go to Brunswick. I have been going to Spotlight alot, but i miss Darn cheap fabrics (i used to live the street  behind, man that was fun, id be bored go for a walk and inevetibly end up there buying fabric, haha). This is a great thread! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get some designer fabric! I will have to go one day!
I have a question for Ebay store owners... How do you do on there!? Cause i am thinking of opening a store eventually (when i pull my finger out and finish some bags, i am totally fabulous at starting stuff and not finishing it, but i do have a 6month old... haha that is my excuse and i am sticking to it). Do you sell much stuff on ebay? Any info anyone has about it would be so appreciated!

Ill try anything crafty at least once, but usually once I try something Im addicted for life! heh heh

Hey! I'm from Melbourne. I live in Burwood East. I'm 14 years old turning 15 on easter sunday! Umm... currently I'm at school (I go to PLC) and I've done all my work so... I'm on here again! I've been obsessed with craft ever since I stumbled upon craftster (which was a while back, I was lurking around until I decided to join). So yeah, I haven't got nearly enough materials to make anything suggested on here, but I definately want to one day...

Hey, Tails! I'm a 15 minute walk from Southland! (I live off Charman Road) Lincraft there stinks. *sigh* Spotlight at Moorabbin is the only one I can really have fun at. Have you found any good craft shops locally?

kkiinnkkyy, sorry i havent replied to your question... I have actually been busy making things (i usually seem to just enjoy looking at things on this site and dream about what i can make next, LOL).
Um no i havent found any good places yet. I am a bit lazy when it comes to looking, but i have heard there are a few good places along Chappel, I could be wrong, i am just telling what i have heard from friends! Let me know if you do tho! (wouldnt it be funny if we have seen each other at spotlight?) everytime i go i look around and it seems like i am the only young person in there, just lots of grannys looking for material to make stuff for their grandkids.

Why is it (it could just be me) but out of all my friends i am the only one who is crafty and likes to make stuff and talk about it! *Sigh* I would LOVE IT if one day all the melbourne crafters could meet up and show our stuff get ideas and just chat. I have no idea where we could do it, but i recon it would be a blast! Wink

Ill try anything crafty at least once, but usually once I try something Im addicted for life! heh heh

Whoa - didn't really know this thread existed, but very happy to know it does.  I'm an outer eastern suburbs chick (Rowville, if you've heard of it), but I study at Melbourne Uni.  Only craft I really have time for at the mo is knitting, but once I finish uni I hope to pursue more! Glad this thread has been revived  Wink

I'm in Melbourne too, and near Southland so it sounds as though I'm close to a few other craftsters...although I might be moving soon depending on where I get a job.
