I am attempting to knit a Gedifra pattern that seems to have some major errors in it.  Since it's a raglan sleeved sweater anyway, I was thinking of scrapping the pattern and just knitting it top-down.  My question is, how do I follow the cable chart?  Upside down and backwards?  Would I have to reverse the direction of the cables?

Does the cable look any different turned upside down? If not, than it should be fine. Smiley

I have been knitting 'simply marilyn' as a top-down. I found that I needed to swap the cable in front for hold cable in back and vice versa (that make sense?). It worked out great. Much prefer knitting top down.

Good Luck

Epany, did you read the chart the same way and just switch the front/back direction, or did you also have to read the chart top to bottom, left to right?

Because it is a pretty simple cable I didn't have to change the way I read the chart, but I think i would for a more complex cable
