OK, so I'm planning on going as Tonks. I have long brown hair and brown eyes. I was planning on wearing a denim skirt with pleats with tights and black boots and a weird sisters t-shirt that I'm going to make.....with this jpg that I made.....does it look ok?authentic?

I was going to put it on a white t-shirt??? Does that seem right??
Also she normally has pink hair right?? Would it be ok to just get some of that spray and spray my hair pink or should I get a wig?? I'm also making a wand for my back pocket!

Anything else to help add to my costume? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

my best friend is oing as tonks too. She is going to brandish a bent wand that had chunks taken out of it (he is in a war after all) that I made for her. She's also cutting the fingers off a pair of leather gloves, wearing an old leather or denim jacket (what ever she can find) in addition to a weird sisters tee, and some punk-y jewelery.

excellent graphic btw!!

I went as Tonks for Halloween last year. I wore a pink wig. I love that design, I would put it on a white shirt, maybe cut it up a little? Here is the link I posted about Tonks. My picture is on the second page. Have fun!! Spray paint would work too!

Yeah in the new movie its purple....but in the books she settles on pink which is why I was thinking pink.....should I do purple instead??? Would it be more obvious?? I guess I just want people to recognize me since I won't be sporting hogwarts robes and scarves!

In the book it's mainly pink. I really like your shirt graphic. I think you'll look great!

Ok, so I found a wig that looks like this....

Its the only pink wig around that I could find....besides a pink bob!!
Do you guys think it will work for tonks??
I have long brown hair so I was going to get that hair color spray....but since my hair is so long, I didn't think it would look right?

Anyone have any suggestions??

First off, the shirt graffic is awesome.  I definitely want one.  Secondly, since it's for the book release, personally, I would stay true to the book and go pink.  Since you do have longer hair, one idea I have would be to pull it back into a messy bun type thing.  I used to do this inverted-y bun that my friends called the peacock.  Basically, tie your hair back into the ponytail-type bun, but instead of just slipping the hair under, flip it over the top of the ponytail.  Then the tips stick up at wierd angles, and if you can get it just right, it looks like your hair is shorter.  Like this...

  (the back view)

You could also try the bigger versions of the little twisty things that were really big a while back, I think they do them for the libby lou "rockstar" thingy... where there's the little twisty guys up the back of your head, then they're bobby pinned up and the tips of your hair stick up funny, like I imagine Tonks would.  I did bigger twists and grabber clips, with a head band...kind a looks almost real with the head band...from the front at least...  Looks like this...

  (the back view)

Then spray it the bubble gum pink!!  Hope I was helpful.  Let me know if you don't understand something!!

M

Edit: sorry, I just realized that those weren't exactly the best pictures.  It's hard to take a pic of the back of your own head... Oh, and my hair is curly and a little longer than shoulder length... yeah...
