I got myself VERY high on spray paint last weekend... and Locktite Superclean I'd been using to get the paint off my hands, face, knees, feet... (it's an aerosol solvent, removes just about anything from just about anything). I ended up singing along very badly to my cheesiest ipod mix (cher, europe, ozone, oxide and neutrino... etc).... didn't realise until my next door neighbour peeped over the fence and offered me some headache pills "for later, when [you'll] obviously need them".

totally worth it. my "new" photo frames look awesome.

And it's not as bad as when my husband got our guineapig high on chemical metal filler and the same beautimuss cleaning product. we'd not realised how chemically the room had become until I heard a strange noise from the cage. I looked in and Chocolate was lying on his side, kind of squeaking like "meepmeepmeepmeep"... sounded like a guineapig giggling. let's face it, it probably WAS the guineapig giggling. I rushed him outside in my shopping basket (he's an indoor pig due to blindness and generally being the most stupid and accident prone rodent on the planet" and sat with him until the meeping stopped. he then slept, WITH HIS EYES SHUT (NEVER sleeps with his eyes shut) for another hour. he's been fine ever since and this was about 2 years ago. He's now the guineaig embodiment of a grumpy old man. he's 4 years old. and I've never heard him giggle since.

A few months ago my parents in law were visiting. A couple of days after they went home it was their wedding anniversary. I decided to make a card for them. They were due back to ours in an hour. We have two dogs who my MIL absolutely adores (and is slightly crazy over) so I thought it would be brilliant to have their pawprints on the front of the card. I had some purple non toxic ink so I grabbed that, a bowl of water, some kitchen roll and my dogs. I tried the labrador first but he was not happy so I let him go and got the Springer Spaniel who had not had her fur cut yet. I placed her paw in the ink then on a piece of scrap paper to test. I just got a splodge. After trying a few more times I decided her fur was too long and it was not going to work. I placed her foot in the bowl of water and rubbed with a piece of kitchen towel. This succeeded in spreading the ink up her leg. She wriggled out of my arms. I only had about 20 minutes before they came to make the card so got my husband to bath her. By the time my parents in law arrived I had: a Springer with purple legs and feet, purple blotches (or should that be botches) on the carpet, a purple bath tub, purple hands/face and an anniversary card which had no purple on it whatsoever!
