Those are awesome packages!

Dulcinea, I think that would be a great way to have them still touchable, and it's a very beautiful piece too!  I love things that hug me.. Smiley

ya know, it's funny - I have all my hand-spun yarns in 1 container, cause I love to touch them.... and I think I really need a project that will use all these way cool yarns, and allow that they're all different - so I was thinking maybe this?  what do you guys think?  do all the squares in the different yarns?

I think that Lizard Ridge blanket is just beautiful...I've been eying that pattern too. I'm not very patient so I was thinking smaller...maybe a scarf in that pattern. It's a great idea for left-over balls of yarn too (of similar gauge)...if sewing in all the ends doesn't send you over the edge lol.  If I can get in the habit of weaving ends in when I just start with another yarn a blanket might not be such an overwhelming job at the end.

well..... i have a handful of the noro, too - and i was just thinking that with all the outstanding yarns that the craftster community has spun and sent to me, it sort of lends itself to all those squares...... cause then, all i need are smaller amounts - make sense?

and yes, if you weave in the tails on each piece before you start the next one, it's way more manageable - but it took me a long time to train myself to do that automatically...... .

LOL, of course, making something that had 20 individual pieces might have helped!  (and i can't tell what, cause it'll be a swap spoiler)

poor pedro....this is more aimed at my annoyance with the kajillions of people in Sydney who wear "vote for pedro" shirts but have no idea where its from or anything...it's like crazy peer pressure fashion. Just wanted to rile them up a little whi8le they didnt know what they were being riled up for. Also i found it an amusing alternative.

What can i say, i have an odd sence of humour

it's from a movie called Napoleon Dynamite.  If you're not familiar with the movie, i wouldn't necessarily consider that a bad thing   Wink
