Wow Reenreen, terrific job there!  Is that straight onto fabric?  How do you keep the outlines from bleeding?  I love the way you blend the colors- so beautiful. I can't do watercolors well at all.  Smiley

Hey

Yeah thats straight onto fabric. If you keep the paint concentrated and dont dilute with water, it doesn't bleed. I actually like the bleeding effect. It helps when you want to merge solors like i did in the wings of the fairy and in the dragons belly...in which case you just wet the portion of material that you want the color to bleed into.

Keep trying different things. Noone ever taught me how to paint. I just kept doing it and found certain things work

GOOD LUCK!

I'm secretly hoping someone else will have paintings on their OWS list so i can do some more

I don't think you have anything to worry about - the forest fairy is now on my wist, thankyewverymuch!

OH WOW OH WOW OH WOW ...I have never been on anyone's wist list before. I'm so excited!

Reenreen...you're so talented- You should hang your own paintings up!  Isn't it funny how we don't bat an eyelash to create for others (even people we don' know) but rarely do it for ourselves?
I'm guessing more people will put paintings on their wish lists if they think you might make more Wink

Thx for the tips and encouragement Reen2
I've been a little more successful with acrylics than with watercolors, but I'll definitely try again now!

Cool beads gang!

Dragonflyducky really spoiled me - I got some happy amigurumi eggs in a basket, including one sunny-side-up who looks so cheerfully sunny.  She also sent me more leaves, including one of my all-time favorites - maple. Yay! more leaves! Thank you, thank you

ZaftigMomma says she's received from me but I know she's having camera problems at the moment, so I thought I would post photos. She asked for a crochet hook roll and stitch markers.
I made her a very tactile black velvet hook roll, with purple butterfly decorative detail and lining. It's done up with a piece of black ribbon.
Here's the roll 'rolled up'

Front

Inside with flap down

And open with lining showing

And to match I made her some purple crochet stitch markers
