better prepare for your son to get invited to other parties when everyone sees the cool stuff he brings.

i also love the notebook cover you made with the pen holder!! totally inspired for christmas gifts...!for the notebook cover, how did you make the fabric stay on? is it set up like its removable? i don't quite understand how you put the cover on, especially if it's a spiral notebook...??

The cover is removable, allowing you to change the notebook.  Here is a better visual:

i don't suppose you have a nifty little tut for the coin purse? I would love to make some for my family, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it, especially with the lining...

Yes, the embroidery was done on a machine.  I have a Janome 5700 and used the inbuilt alphabet.

I don't have a tute but I think I remember how I did this.  I'll try to put one up shortly.

That's gorgeous! So sweet of you to make all that for Jasmine, and I love the fabric you used. Machine sewing the zip looks fiddly though, but I suppose you learn those things with practise- I haven't used my machine in ages!

Didn't realise the original post was so long ago..! I hope you still want the compliments ;-)
