I made this dress, hat and panties as a gift for a friend's baby.  I love this style of dress for little girls!!  The pattern was very easy to follow, and while it is from the "Sew and Save" line, it was easy but not very quick.

I hope you like it.

I love the fabric you chose!  I used that same pattern for a dress for my daughter last summer.  The hat is my favorite part.  I just adore the scalloped edge.  Great job!

Very cute! I think I bought that exact same pattern last week. I really like McCall's patterns so far.

I'm a beginner sewer and would love to try this pattern out- I know you said it's easy, but would you recommend it for a beginner??

Yeah, I love the fabric too - girly, but not toooo girly. Wonderful job! I am also wondering about the difficulty of the pattern, how long did it take you to make it?

I've been out of town for a while, so sorry it took so long to respond.  Thanks for all the kind comments.!

frix220:  It is beginner friendly.  There are button holes in the view I chose, but there is another option for one that ties like a wrap dress.

mtblaura: I picked that fabric for the exact same reason.  The pattern wasn't difficult, but it was time consuming.  All three pieces took about 4-5 hours.  If I did it again, it wouldn't take quite as long, since I'd done it before, and I'd make them one at a time.
