I saw a shirt at Abercrombie that had machine embroidery on it, but it definately wasn't the Ramones seal.

I like my knockoff better, heheh. I just wish I would have used a regular tee instead of a ribbed tank because it stretches funny, but whatever.

I printed out the image I wanted, pinned it down, got my cat to walk in the bottom of the picture,

and sewed the outlines. Use a tight stitch (I was doing 30x inch). When you're done, peel all the paper off. Most fun part. Heehee.

It's just a regular metal foot, but I would leave the needle down with the foot up to turn it around corners and stuff. Most of the inside of the emblem is one continuous thread. It's a sixty year old machine if that makes any difference... hahah.

What a great idea for a technique. I might have a burl at that sometime. I've embroidered ribbed tanks (or singlets as we of the antipodes like to call them), and I rather like the pulling. It gives it a more handmade, raw feel.

And I really like your avatar because Harold & Maude rocks the casbah.

oh wow, that turned out so much better than if id tried to do it. i love you shirt, but it makes me cringe to think about how many ambercrombie children are gonna wander around with their ramones shirt not knowing what it is.   Cry

Oh, I'd have been irritated if Abercrombie had Ramones shirts. They had shirts with rediculous little animals and stuff on them, not bands. Heehee. Thanks!

I know she didn't mean Ramones when she said that, but if I did see that in abercrombie.. even though I've never been there.. I'd cry.

if the street sharks were here they would say that ramones tank is JAWSOME but they're not, so i'm going to relay the message for them.
