this is my first decoupage project, it still needs some varnish to seal it, i used a motif that i cut out of a paper napkin

That's lovely.  I've got a bunch of stuff cut from calendars and gift bags that I keep meaning to use in decoupage, but I've never actually done it yet.  Yours turned out very nicely.

That is tres cute. I love decoupage, great way to use old calendars, cards, and paper napkins, which I never thought of. Oooh I've got some Hello Kitty napkins...
