hmmm...  I was using small bits of much larger pieces, but I'm pretty sure I used less than a yard each of the outer fabric and the lining fabric.  I'll go back and look at the measurements and figure it out better tomorrow.  Smiley

I'm in the process of making a bag using your tute as a loose guide (It's a little different) and I'm really confused about how to do the strap.  Huh I have D-rings and I want to make the strap adjustable, but I'm not sure how to attach it. Do you think it would work if I put the lining and the outside together first and then did cross-boxes on the outside to secure the strap?

that would work just fine!  in fact, that's how my original bag was made because I forgot I had meant to hide the straps inside the seam like in the tutorial.  Cheesy

oh man, this is one of the best messenger bags i've ever seen. it's so simple, yet that simplicity is what makes it so stylish! hehe

also, it's one of the best tutes i've ever seen. good job! you rock!

i'm at work, but my head is swimming with the desire to go to the fabric store and then churn out these bags for my loved ones and i.
