thanks again for all the comments!!

that's great!  congrats!  so who's putting out this lovely book of yours?
Lark is publishing my book. Smiley

thanks everybody!!! I'm excited about my book, it makes me so happy you all are too!  Cheesy

What stitch is your outline done in?

Looks like two rows of chain stitch.

it is actually two rows of split stitch. Smiley

Thanks for clarifying that. I don't use split stitch. I go with chain. I never liked the look of the split in the diagrams--I should have known better. None of the stitches "stitched" are identical to the way they look in the diagrams. It is actually quite attractive. I will have to incorporate some of it in my work. Probably uses half the thread and half the time.

I use split stitch more than any other. If you keep your stitches small and close together, it looks alot like a chain stitch, but is much faster and easier!

thank you so much! I have to say, that's the weirdest compliment I've received, though I'd be honored.  Grin (now I'm wondering how I'd translate into bronze...that would be too strange!)

(Gypsy's are the best!!)

Again, another amazing piece.  I am anxiously awaiting your book.  I have been checking the embroidery sections of my local bookstores just in case a few copies were released early.  That is how I got Jenny Hart's book, so perhaps I will have the same luck with yours!  I can't wait to get my hands on it!!!!

This piece is amazing!  I love your choice of colors.  What is the name of your book (if you can post it here)? I'd love to snag a copy.
