I double the thread to make extra thick washcloths...and a tight stitch...we never seem to have enough trivets to put hot pots or bowls on so that is why I use them like that...I have used them to take things out of the oven, but you do have to be careful...they are not that thick...Smiley

I just think that anything square with nice stitches or designs should be here...a separate potholderalong probably would not have tons of people (we craftsters have short attention spans... Smiley )

Going to make my washcloths a bit bigger than normal...I found that when my friends and nieces with little ones come over, they use they to mop dirty faces, clean grimy hands, etc.  They seem to prefer the larger size...so now I can make them and give them away! Grin

Now that I've hit 50 (washcloths... I still have a few years to go to hit 50 years), I'm thinking I'll re-make some of my favorite patterns. I've got a cone of blue/white variegated yarn just calling my name. I think a Road Trip Dishcloth, and maybe a Bark Sedge and/or an Almond Back Loop...

I like that you guys are still going! I putter along occasionally, but usually don't crochet much in the summer. I like my clothes on the smaller side, I guess because I have small hands? That's the only reason I can come up with....
