Can't wait to see what you've made!

I have been crocheting when I should have been doing other things. So, instead of being busy properly, I've been practicing task avoidance using crochet Smiley

I didn't finish my Bauhaus, yet. I had an appointment that got moved to an earlier time, so I didn't have the time to fill.  And now that I'm home, I'm actually tired and think I need to go to bed early tonight!

Well, I'm not sure if I'm going to make 50--that seems like an awful lot--but I need something to do in the car on my commute, so I'm going to start making some.  And this thread has such a lot of great patterns!  I'm planning on starting with Vanilla Grit, Almond Back, and Bark Sedge since a lot of people seemed to start with those.

I have been working on my 50 since this CAL started! And, after 4 1/2 years (Holy cow! Where did the time go???), I am almost at 50- I have #45 on the hook right now. For me, this CAL has been a way for me to practice my skills (I am so much better at making square things square, and not zig-zaggy or trapezoidal Wink ), and learn some new stitches. Plus, I've gotten a good supply of cloths for me and others (mostly my mom, but I'm branching out...).

I won't be stopping at 50, however! I still have a whole bunch of the patterns that I want to try, and a good-sized stash of cotton yarn to use up Smiley

Three more!

The first one is the Bauhaus washcloth or, most of it, anyway. It was getting very large, so I actually just did 2 rounds of the last color.

The next one is the Pentagon washcloth. This stitched up very quickly!

The last one is just one I made up. I call it 'Stitch Sampler' because it's a row of sc, hdc, dc, trc, repeated (I think I did 3 repeats) until I was almost out of yarn, and then I ended with a row of sc. I was working on it in the car and somewhere, my stitch count went awry, so it's a little wider at the end than at the beginning (so much for my earlier comment at not making squares into trapezoids! Smiley ). But, my mom didn't care, so it's all good!

Fresh off the hook, I present:  dishcloth --  http://www.crochetnmore.com/dishcloth.htm (nr. 2 on the CAL list)

Quick and easy, just how I like 'em!  Took me about an hour to finish. Smiley

I used Sugar 'n Cream Twist, Mod Twists.  It's a teal-y, mint green-y and white.  The second picture is closer to its real colour.

Pretty, giz! And, it looks like a good pattern for the Twists yarn, which I find can obscure some of the details in some patterns.

I'm going to be at a State Bowl (Future Problem Solvers) on Saturday, and will have some time to kill. A new dishcloth might be in order...

The twist yarn is lovely!  I am getting close to desperation mode if I don't make some wash cloths!  I just threw out two old ones (may they rest in pieces...)...I wish I had just a few hours to pump them out...

Well...I do have a couple of wash cloths kickin' around.  Ya know, if you'd like one or two I'd be happy to send out to you. Smiley

Thanks cAc! Smiley  I have quite a bit of the twist ball left over...I'm thinking of using it up on a Tunisian stitch wash cloth.  It should make a nice thick cloth.

Yep, I just learnt how to do the Tunisian...now I want to Tunisian Stitch everything!  Cheesy
