Just thought I would let you guys know that I am now the proud owner of four wash cloths!! Cheesy

I made four over the weekend using up scraps---I will post them this evening even though they were just simple basic crochet stitches...

I will need to get some more yarn to try out some of the fancier wash cloths, but at least I can wash some dishes... Smiley

Love the bauhuas!  Those colors would be great in my kitchen!

Four?!  Well done!  Looking forward to seeing your cloths Smiley

Isn't it nice to use up orphan balls of cotton?  Now you have room for more stash! Wink Cheesy

Give the Bauhaus pattern a try -- it's not too complicated -- or better yet you might get one in the swap! Smiley

Here are three cloths that I did QUITE a while ago. So long ago, I don't remember which patterns I used. I could probably figure it out if I needed to. I finished another a few days ago, but if it fits with my partner's interests in the current swap, I may use it for that. YAY, I'm up to 12!

Two patterns, one yarn, but not square. They actually fit my hand nicely, but I gave them away as a gift. I remember that these two were fun to make.

and a round one:

And yep, I'm still not a great photographer!

As an aside, I went to Joann's today for some velcro and noticed they have new colors of Sugar 'n Cream yarn! I was very tempted, but thought I'd wait until I see what my partner's preferences are. I did buy some Chocolate Ombre (cream to chocolate brown variegated type) for myself. I might make a stuffed animal out of it.

Lovely cloths, playswithneedles!

And, I'll have to go out and look at the sugar n' cream yarn colors. I have some solid peaches n' cream and the blue I have is still leaching dye, even though it's been through several loads of dishes and a run through the washing machine! I'm almost afraid to use any more of the PnC yarn! Hopefully, it was just a bad batch, because the solids are nice and vibrant!

Thanks! Unfortunately, my photos don't show the color vibrancy well at all.

I've had that happen with the dark blue peaches and cream too. Most of my solids are now Lion Brand and I'm hoping that they don't leach/bleed.

I'll just have to avoid the blues (in PnC and in life Smiley )!

I have a bunch of cotton yarn in my yarn stash closet, so once I get my partner, I'll dig through to see what I have that works. Otherwise, I just might have to do a bit of shopping... but just a bit Grin

I had the same problem with the blues---they tend to fade away rather quickly!

I love the ones you did playswithneedles!  The one that looks like shells is my favorite (on the right...)...I have never used a round cloth...

Have you guys tried the new yarn that has nylon in it to make scrubbies?  Michael's carries it...I am going to go look this weekend...I am woefully low on any cotton yarns...I made market bags last year out of all of them and just had small leftovers...I need my cotton yarn! Cheesy

I think I saw some Sugar N'Cream yarn labeled "scrubby" yarn, or something. It was a bit pricey, so I didn't grab a ball to try it out. I have some discontinued Aunt Lydia's yarn that's called "Beadles," I think (I have been at work for 10-11 hours every night this week... my brain is mush right now!), and its a cotton yarn wrapped with a nylon or polyester thread. It makes cloths that are great for scrubbing. I ran across a bunch at a discount store and bought what they had. My mom LOVES the dishcloths I make with it, so I save it to make her one for Mother's Day, her birthday and Christmas (she's a tough one to buy for, so to find something that she likes is huge!).

If the scrubby yarn is anything like it, I won't have to worry when my Beadles supply runs out Wink

I'm crocheting a pillow cover right now with most of my solid colors, so after I get my partner I may have to shop for more yarn. DARN!
