Thanks so much for the link for the peaches n cream yarn.  That is amazing.  The shipping and handling would be worth it for all the color options.

Completely rainbow obsessed SAHM to 3 & hoping to add #4 to our family this fall!

Have old jeans, pillowcases, or t-shirts? I'll take them! I'm also always looking for the sleeves to women's long sleeved shirts!

I have to share the newest addition to my cotton stash with you guys. I went to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) thrift store, and they had a ton of 100% cotton sweaters, AND they had 50% off today! I got these four sweaters for $6.75. I was pretty excited. The one on the upper right (with the cat checking it out) is bulky and super soft. (If it wasn't an extra small I would wear it). As for the white one on the bottom, I have never felt cotton as soft as it is. It still had its price tag (I got a $68 sweater for 2 bucks!) and it might not become washcloths after all because it's so incredibly soft.

This will be my first time recycling yarn, and I figured washcloths were a good start because if I end up wasting some yarn by not cutting it in the right places or something, that'll just be one less washcloth, as opposed to one less sleeve.
Sorry to ramble but I'm just really excited. Look at all those washcloths to be for less than $7!

Ohh that white one on the bottom looks soooo comfy!! I wish I had such luck in finding sweaters to unravel. I live in Texas, so sweaters in general are hard to find.

You can use your newly acquired knitting skills to make one!

There's no stopping you now! Smiley

I went to the library yesterday and got 2 books on knitting. One is a beginners guide and the other was written by some lady who creates knitted fashions for movies and tv shows (there's some turtleneck sweater in the book that she said she knitted for Debra Messing to wear on Will & Grace). The title is something like Hollywood Knits or something along those lines. There's some really cute patterns in it.

Anyway, I am very squeamish to knit myself a sweater. I can crochet fairly well, so if I attempt a sweater for myself (I'd love some hooded cardigans in different colors...I love anything hooded Cheesy), I'll most likely crochet them. BUT, I am KNITTING the majority of my big item for my swap partner (a coughgarterlactotecough), so I'm very excited and proud of myself. I still haven't given up on knitting the wash cloths. I've just had to put them on the back burner on simmer for a little while. They do make nice little fillers for my swap packages. *wink wink*

I have been knitting since last October (minus some weeks due to a fractured wrist) and I still am afraid to touch sweaters.  I am a very large person, so most aren't my size anyways.  I figure when I do try I will just double the size of a small or medium size pattern.  I love hoodies too.  Perhaps I should knit a little less and get exercising a bit more to lose some weight.

I also wish one of the two brands would come out with a red/black verigated (I have no idea how to spell this either) yarn, because it would be perfect for making something for my sister.

Did you see the 'Cityscape' color?

I kept on looking and looking and couldn't find it and all the time it was the giant in front of my eyes between the small samples and where you go to purchase.  That is great!!  I know where part of my paycheck is going on Tuesday.  Thank you.  Now I can make some dishcloths for my sister.  She is the only one that hasn't gotten one yet.
