just got back from seeing this - now I get what everyone means!

I think Hermione's Gryffindor sweater looks like it's ribbed but with some cables (fine ones, about the same width as the ribbing) down the sleeves and also down the front. Very cute!

Luna's Ministry cardigan *looks* hooded to me, but with that hair it's anyone's guess really. Either way it's fab!

I can't remember now how similar there are, but when I saw Ginny's vest at the end, it reminded me of this shrug/vest

Thanks for the picture - that looks like the right vest, and I definitely think I can figure it our from that pic.

hmmm...I don't recall the vest you're speaking of in detail, but the one tragicheroine posted looks like a square for the bck piece, then a looooong cable panel connected around it. Or at least that what it looks like to me.  Cheesy It's gorgeous. And I've done those cables before, they aren't difficult.

I got a hold of some screen shots from the film and saved these ones of Ginny.

This is the vest she wears as they're leaving Hogwarts. I think the vest I posted earlier is really close, just a different cabled and hers is buttoned instead of tied.

This is the top she wore at Christmas. I must be losing my mind, because I remember that one being lacy and purple. It's pretty blurry, so those ridges may be lace. I guess that's what you get for bootlegging.

OOTP was such a dark film, literally and well as metaphorically, that sometimes the costumes were a little difficult to make out  Undecided
