if the weather holds out we'll have barbeque'd chicken.  if not it'll just be done in the oven.

Aug is always crazy, I end up working extra hrs at both jobs, to cover people vacation hours ... so I haven't been cooking much. Grilling lots of steak & chicken on grill to eat off of for a few days. makes for great sandwiches & salads.
Right now I have several steaks swimming in balsamic dressing, the fella will grill that while I boil up corn on the cob & steam some rice & veggies 9again lots of everything for planned left overs)
Tonight dinner will be grilled steak, white rice with romano cheese & peas, corn on the cob with butter & broccoli.
We both have tonight off, first night off together in abt 1o days, we are staying in & having dinner, watching a DVD & watching auction wars.  =)
fruit salad & mixed nuts to munch on if we want while watching idiot box.

I need suggestions for pork tenderloin and chicken breasts.  Not enough of both thawed out for a full meal... I'm thinking me and the hubs will have the pork and the kids can have the chicken.....

I'm making curry! Yum! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=382998.0

Bella--can you do something like taco salads, where you have the various components laid out (beans, chips, lettuce, salsa, whatever) and then it won't matter with two different kinds of meats?

Do one little thing differently and they'll think it's a whole new meal...add olives or green salsa instead of red or flavor the sour cream with taco seasoning.

oooh flavoring the sour cream! never thought of that!
I went and enjoyed the summer heat this afternoon and the BBQ called to me.  So I whipped up a BBQ sauce and some fresh mayo to make dressing with and had BBQ'd chicken and tenderloin with coleslaw Smiley

Tonight is Tuna Noodle casserole, I have been craving it. Also salad of baby spinach & romaine with grape tomatoes, shredded carrot, apple slices, dried cranberries & walnuts. =)  Vanilla pudding with bananas later for dessert.
