Tonight we're throwing a party so basic grill fare: Brats, burgers, veggies, cake (also someone's birthday... convenient!), chips etc.

Sage rubbed pork loin with roasted ears of corn. Maybe some of my pumpkin cake to go with it?

proper dinner for us tonight, pork loin steaks dry fried, served with carrots, potatos, brocolli, cauliflower, cabbage and apple sauce
oh and gravy
home made apple sauce (we have loads and loads left, and even more apples. my boyfriend bought me 3 bags instead of 300g and each bag is approx. 1kg)
and the cabbage was super yummy, just shredded, thrown into a pan in which there was some boiling water and butter (about equal parts) seasoned well with salt and pepper and cooked until just tender and fabulously bright green

Can I join the fun?

I just read through an embarrassing number of pages of this thread and I must say, any place that both inspires me for when I'm motivated and reassures me that sometimes it's okay to eat a bag of popcorn for dinner is someplace I want to be!

Tonight I am attempting to recreate a delicious sub I once had at a cafe in Boston. Mexican meatball sub. Yum! I'm thinking pork and beef meatballs with lots of cilantro and garlic, with jack cheese, tomato slices, shredded lettuce and jalepenos au jus on a toasted buttered roll. It may sound strange, but I've been craving it for a year now. It's delicous! We'll eat it with a small corn and avocado salad on the side.

What's everyone else having?
