OMG!!!  Shoe fetishists with a fabric addiction will go nuts over this!!!  You're brilliant!  What kind of glue and sewing machine needle did you use?  I'm guessing that using an old shoe with a crease at the instep wouldn't work.  *wildly applauding*

i used a regular size 16 neddle and super glue but i ran out of super glue so i used a hot glue gun to glue the sole back on. I was dissapionted because I thought i wasn't gonna be strong enough but i was wrong, it bonded pretty tight and strong, anyway i bought the real deal, shomaker's glue. I'm looking foward to use it for the first time, since I burned my hand several times with the glue gun, but oh well it was worth it!

as for the applique i'm gonna save the idea for the next shoe I make, because i already stitched a skinny ribbon that resembles a strap, tied it to the side and topped it off with cherries, literally! ha ha
