I used your tutorial and mine ended up a little different because I couldn't get them to lay flat, but I like how it gives them more of a 3D effect.

It's been a while since you've posted this tutorial, but I'd just like you to know it's still being helpful!

This was my first beading project, but with your tutorial it worked in one go. Cheesy I wore the earrings with a home-made cork necklace for a fantasy fair (I was dressed as Luna, obviously), and got many compliments for them!
