Hi everyone!

Im new here, because I was looking for a Clay Super Mario (fabulous work actually!).
While looking around this forum I discovered such great artistic works - wonderful place to  share crafts!

Now I want to share my stuff with you. I started out modelling with fimo one year ago (we dont have all the different kinds of clay here in Austria).

I have to say I dont work with wire and that I normally paint a little shimmer on the eyes or paint them even completely.
If someone wonderes how I do the curled hair I can tell you that you can do that too!
Its NOT very complicated. Its just important that you fix the curles on the unbaked head (after baking it wont stick to it anymore).
1. Roll a little piece of clay between your hands into a "string" ( not to thin - looks much better and youll be done faster!)
2. Then hold one end between your thumb and index finger and use the other hand to spin it around itself making spirals.
When the "spinning" is done, put it onto the center of the tophead.
Then put one layer above the other while getting shorter and using different colours.

So I created this cute mermaid for a colleague. This was actually done within less than two hours ... but always gains most of the attention Roll Eyes

I hope youll enjoy!  Cheesy

That is so cute!  I love it, especially the front view.  Her hair is really neat, too, I'd be interested to know how you did it.
