i'm really new to crocheting and so this probably should be really easy, but i'm lost!

i (kind of) figured out the pot part, but it's not perfect and who knows what i did wrong. but now i'm completely confused on the flower. it says ch 2 then 6 sc, but what do i crochet them into?

blah, here is the whole pattern: http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=90220

please and thank you!  Smiley

You do the 6 sc into the first ch you made when you did "ch 2".

First off, just in case you didn't get this part, when you are finished the pot, you end off your thread and start the flower all by itself, they are not connected yet.

The flower pattern says:

ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, do not join.

So do just that - chain 2 and then insert your hook into the second chain from the hook (which is the first stitch you made) and do your 6 single crochet into that stitch.  You will end up with a sort of circle of stitches (this is the center of the flower)

The rest seems fairly basic but for someone new you might get hung up on a few places, just ask if you need more help!
