Does anyone have any maps laying around or know where to get free (or at least cheap) maps?  I have several projects I'd like to use them for.

heh,I was thinking about posting for places to find maps too!

I know you can get bus/other public transportation maps for free in most cities.  But if you need more than a few of them, I don't know where to look.

If you're in the US and you have an AAA membership, the maps are free...

The wife and i travel a bit, and we tend to go through many of maps through out the year.
Also Im sure everyone one here has road atlases, maps and other thing of this type. Most buss stops, train stations, etc have these maps.
Lets start a old map drive for joymoy.

Many states have maps in their highway rest areas. Also try thrift stores for atlases and such.

Go to hotels. I work at a front desk and we have more than we'll ever use. Just go to all the local ones and ask if they have any laying around or stored somewhere. We have boxes and boxes that have never been opened!

Google free maps.  I got one from every state last year along with a travel brochure/magazine.

You usually have to fill out a small questionaire, but it's worth the free stuff!

If you go to your local welcoming center (usually right at entering state lines) you can take as many as you like, they generally force you to take two lol.
