wow this looks really cool Smiley hard work to crochet with ties i suppose........i knitted a bathmat out of an old bedsheet (cut up in 2 inch stripes) a while ago and my arms were so sore while i did it ! but it is so much fun to recycle things and to be able to use them again! mara

I have major love for ties. Smiley This is such a great idea. I live in Fl so a heavy hat would not work but I think a rug (like of the other posts said would look great). You have inspired me. Smiley

 Shocked Wow, you did that on a 10mm hook!  Methinks you need a bigger one.   Undecided  I have a 15mm hook in my stash, I pretty much bought it just because it was huge and I kinda feel bad for not ever having used it.  Now I know what I can do with it, thanks.

Quite honestly, everything about this is far too awesome, and it looks great on you!  I love it!!! My crochet skills don't extend much beyond making rather unimpressive squares, but this hat definately makes me want to try to learn a little more...  Thanks for the inspiration!
