That's how we were planning on doing it, like the last round. I do think more books, and clearer rules should make it a little smoother. I can't wait to start this! I just know it's going to be so fun!

Alright, I've got a question.

Last round you had to list your country when you posted your list. Here's exactly what it says in the details:

PLEASE LIST YOUR COUNTRY (even if you're from the US, still list your country! not everyone lives in the US!)

Due to the nature of this swap, it doesn't make much sence to me how this would help with people not wanting to send outside of their country.

Say Person A posted their list. They live in the United States, don't want to send outside of their country.
Person B comes along, and really wants something from Person A's list, but cannot claim it because they live in Ireland.

This wouldn't be fair, and could hold up the swap.

So, I'm thinking that everyone who joins this swap should be willing to send outside of their country. What do you think?

I think that would keep some people from joining.  I know I definitely can't afford to send overseas... Sad  It's not that I don't want to, or that I'm stingy.  I just can't.
I understand if you make that a rule though, I'm not in charge round here, so you can run things however you want.  Smiley

Yeah, same here. If it's required to ship outside my country, I won't be able to do it. It's expensive enough sending within. >_<

Books usually aren't that expensive to send overseas, as long as you send it book rated, but I don't want to stop anyone from joining. It's just that, in most swaps like this, you know where you're sending when you choose someone. However, in this one, you have to send to someone who chooses you. So, the only way you won't get picked to send to someone from your country would mean that someone not from your country wouldn't be allowed to choose you, which wouldn't be fair. However, I want everyone who wants to join to be able to, so any ideas on how we can fix this?

Maybe we could have a points system like "Shop the Swap" does-- you get points when someone chooses one of your books, and can spend them on other books.
If someone doesn't want to ship outside their country but is chosen by someone overseas, perhaps they could charge an extra point or two as a shipping cost??  I don't know how well that would work, but it's a possibility I suppose.

That's a good idea!

Though maybe I'm just being complicated about the sending out of country thing. We can try it out this round, and see how well it works out. Maybe if someone sees a book they really, really want, something could be worked out. w

But see, in this swap, Person A posts a list of books. Person B then chooses a book they want. So Person A must send that book to Person B.
