Maybe if we put on our sad hopeless faces somebody will come along and notice us and help us to be organized so we can play.
I agree about wanting to swap books within the craftster family, it seems so much more...personal that way.
August, even the end of the month would work out fantastic for me.
Did I mention I have TONS of craft books looking for new homes?

Oh man this sounds so awesome! I've yet to participate in enough swaps to organize, but that's the only thing keeping me from doing so.

By no means should you wait for me, but if no one happens to come along before I'm ready to organize, I'll totally do it.

This sounds really good. I have tons of books.

EDIT: Perhaps we can modify this a bit? Like can we make our own books? Like say I made a book of How-to crochet, or someone else compiled a notebook of their favourite recipes, or someone altered a book?

This is a great idea! I just finished the book swap, and ended up with some awesome books.
I wouldn't mind organizing, either. I haven't organized before, but I'm not afraid of the challenge.  Wink
I think homemade books would be awesome too, and altered books!

WOOHOO!
I think we have a volunteer!

Now to get signups going ....maybe by the last week in July?
Or since it's ongoing, I guess it could start sooner if some of y'all have books ready to swap.....

I'd love to organize!  Grin

Whenever is fine with me. How about a week from today, so everyone will have time to get some books together. Or, we can start August 1 and end at the end of August, like most Ongoing swaps do. Or, since I'm not sure most of us could wait that long, we can start in the next couple of days, and end at the end of this month, then start again in August. What do you think?

Also, I've been going over the last swap, and it didn't seem to go very smoothly. Anyone have any ideas on a more effective way, or somehow to make the rules clearer?

They had a minimum of 3 books, but I think we should have at least 5, so that it might move the swap along a little better. Sound okay?

I think having more books on your list would make it go faster/better.

I can't play until August, though.  Too many swaps I like at the same time  Sad

I think starting August 1st might be best, just so everything evens out... Plus, I need to actually find the books that I no longer want. I put 'em in a safe place... just to remember where! lol
If anyone wants to start earlier than that, though, let me know, and I will. But if not, I'll start sign-ups August 1. Sound okay?

I'd love to be in on this!!!

I bet if it was modeled after the ongoing wish swap or wishlist swap it would work great!

ex...

I claim soandso for the book "best book in the world"

here is my list:

book 1
book 2
etc...

Just my 2 cents... i'd be up for it though!
