One of us spindlers on craftster makes felted singles!  I bet those would be pretty balanced.   Grin  I've seen low twist singles, too, but yeah...I think they might need to be pretty bulky to be non-energized enough to be considered balanced.

I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's me with some yarn on my head.

i made a felted single before, but not on purpose.  boy was i surprised--i thought it was superwash!  not so, it shrank right up.  kind of a cool look, but nothing I would ever in a million years actually knit with.

I have posted a few felted yarns I made in Fiber Fridays thread.  Mine were plied with thread but once it was felted the thread was no longer visible.

Star217 I guess I should have said not overspun instead of a balanced single.  Either way,  I'm sure it looks great and would love to see a pic!

Here's yesterday yarn - hand-dyed soy silk!

And I started combing up some Sheep Shed roving and some red and black sparkle fiber to spin for today:

Finished this yesterday!  They are wool mill ends, and I hand-dyed the green.

I knitted a swatch (to see if it would felt, cause I forgot if the green was superwash) and I love how the green is variegated!

anneadeline - I love that green

All the yarns are looking soft and squooshy!  I am STILL working on the Tulip.  My spinning time is going to be at a premium the next couple weeks because we start moving into our new house tomorrow!!  SQUEEEEE!!!

I'm starting to feel like this thread is the very best place to get a yarn fix - Yummy!

I saved a lot of the yarn I spun for the Fiber Friday thread but here is a duo of yarns I've been teasing all week. Same fiber, spun different thicknesses.
