Hows that for an imaginative title?
The blue bits are from a top i bought because it was in the sale rail and it was huge and i liked the colour. The stripy bits are from (surprise surprise) 1/2 an old pillowcase, i dont really know what happened to the other half though...

The pillowcase had some wierd rusty stains on it that wouldnt come off, but you cant really see them (hopefuly). And there are white chalk marks from when i was making it on the top.

The pillowcase wasn't wide enough to accomodate my hips, so i made these little triangles out of some leftovers. (more chalk lines)

Detail of the little pink heart shaped buttons i sewed on the top (they came from some knickers!  Grin) It needed something to link the top with the bottom , else it looked too seprate.
I hope you like it, it's the most professional looking recon I've done so far. I may actualy be able to wear it out  Shocked!
The End.

fantastic -- and so perfectly timed for summer.  it was good luck that the pillow case wasn't wide enough at the hips because i think your alteration is a very cute touch!

you know the more i look on this board, the more i'm starting to suspect that we redheads are inherent craftsters.  have you noticed?  quite a lot of us floating around on here...

I LOVE this! I saw a shirt with a similar theme a while back, and I wanted one so bad. This is even cuter and a great idea!
