Ah, so, now that my hands are cramping up from excessive exacto knife usage, here's the challenge entry.

I'm a graphic designer and use paper and text all the time, so my thought was a crown incorporating those. The only problem was that I couldn't come up with text to use....I knew I wanted to use two certain fonts (Bodoni and Gil Sans), but the words???

And then...of course! Filler text! The Latin "lorem ipsum..." passage that I use as default to show what body text will look like on a page when I have to design something but am not given any content.

No action shots; I designed it in Illustrator, printed it out, and then just got down to cutting.

Tiring, but fun! And apparently very petite!  Roll Eyes

Oh. My. God. I'm a graphic designer too and I'm and just in awe. This takes me back to my Typography classes. I can't believe you cut all that out with an exacto. Just thinking about that gives me cramps I know will last weeks. Amazing job. I bow to the Queen of Filler Text! hahaha

I can't believe you cut all of that out, and it turned out so well.  I'm the type to get 75% done and make a fatal error with the scissors.  That's really incredible!

This tiara holds a special place in my heart. I'm an editor, and there's nothing better than getting a job to read and discovering it's all in "Latin!"

Oh Graphic Designers and their attachment to 'Lorem Ipsum'.
My brother has that tattooed across his chest in a tattoo font that he designed while still in school...
He, of  course, told me that it meant "bad ass" in Latin (And I guess 'de lorem ipsum' is 'pain itself', which is fairly badass...). But then I learned of the incredibly dorky graphic designer connection.

LOL, I'm a graphic designer, too and lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer... I use that text, too - cracks me up that I can even recite it!

This is an incredible amount of detail cutting, holy cow! And if anyone thinks "random" placement of items is easy... *shuddering at the thought and work that goes into "random" placement...

Awesome!  Cheesy

I love this!  But then, I love anything that involves lots of little fiddly cuts with an exacto knife.

Great idea and execution Smiley

Wow.. add me to the people who're taken back to typography class with this one. And in my case to .. uh.. some random required class we had where I discovered my love affair with exacto knives. This is the best way to combine the 2!  Love love love it!
