... and I don't know what to do with them. I kind of want to find a treatment to make them look like patent leather, but I don't know if that's possible. I'd also like to make them into peep toes, but I also don't know if that's possible. All ideas welcome.

To make them shinier just add some gloss paint to them.  To make em peep toe I would suggest just choppin off the toe part (leaving the sole) and glueing or hand sewing ribbon around the unfinished edge.  And if you really wanted to change them maybe you could try something like this?
