I have two pairs of socks that I don't wear. The red ones don't fit and the stripy ones don't suit me. Any ideas on what to do with them?

Armwarmers, of course!
I personally would love crazy neon armwarmers like that XD Just cut the toes open and sew up the edges.  (yeah, our toes don't line up like our fingers, but my friend did that on a pair of socks and it was comfortable to wear so -shrugs- the magics of stretchy things XD)

I like penguins, stars, rainbows and blue.
If your project has any of these, don't be surprised to see me post in it! Cheesy

oh! make wrap around socks!!!

go here!!!

http://biscuitshouse.typepad.com/./photos/uncategorized/2007/06/24/juillet5.jpg

i realize that the ones in the picture are crocheted, but i think they'd look cool.

or! make pedi socks where you cut off the toe about halfway up the instep. those kind of socks look adorable with ballet flats and other shoes that show the top of your foot.

I dislike arm warmers or whatever so..

I'd say, use the striped ones as sleeves for a tank top (cut them, of course haha).  And maybe you could cut the patterns out of the red ones and use as patches?

You could also make them into a little sock drawstring pouch like this:
