I have a little bit of rainbow striped fabric that I got from my grandma, not scraps, but not enough to make a whole garment out of (not that you'd probably want to wear a whole rainbow dress or something).  While it doesn't look like anything special, it has some sentimental value to me because some time eons ago, my grandma bought a TON of it and made it into everything from curtains for their van to cushions for hard chairs.  My grandma's still alive, but I want to make it into something that's going to last so that when she does pass on, I can laugh about this ridiculous fabric that reminds me of her.

Try mitering the stripes to make chevron shapes.
