I haven't picked up my sticks in a few months, and I'm kind of stuck on the instructions for block one, where it states "Using A, CO 42 sts. Knit 36 garter ridges. BO." I've CO 42 sts and knit 36 garter ridges, but what do I do with the leftover 6 sts? Do I leave them on the needle and bind off the 36 sts, or do I bind all 42 sts off? Heeeeellppp!!!

You are suppose to knit the 36 ridges using all of the stitches. 1 garter ridge is equal to two rows of knitting - when you knit in garter stitch which is knit each row.

After you knit the 36 ridges (or 72 rows of knitting) you bind off until you have one loop on the right needle.
