Made this for the Firefly/Serenity swap.  Figured now my partner's received her I can post her here Smiley

She's made using the Nuno Doll pattern.  I used a pillowcase for the two layers of skin and shredded the rest up for the stuffing.  The fabric for the pink undershirt is a little girls shirt, I got both the shirt and the pillowcase from a carboot sale.  The green overalls were from an unwanted shirt of mine that I no longer wore.  I hot glue gunned the hair using some of my mother's left over embroidery thread.  I used some more thread to stitch on the face and a red flower to the front.

Total cost = 1.25 for the pillowcase and pink shirt (and I still have loads of the pink left).

What a sweet little doll!  Cute haircut.  Nifty overalls!  I'd scream with glee if I received this in a swap!

How cute! My friend and I are Firefly fans, we'd love to have a lil' Kaylee. You did a great job, the flower on the overalls is a nice touch.

Shocked *Gasp*  That looks just like her, but in a minimalist way.  I'm amazed.  (And I love Firefly!  Have to check out the swap page.) Shocked
