I am FINALLY getting some of my recons done this summer AND getting my "I want a new wardrobe for fall!" fix at the same time. I had two old (holes worn through) cashmere sweaters that had been my boyfriend's. I fulled them in the wash, then used the good parts (the backs, and two sleeves) to make this. I lined it with some blue knit cotton leftover from another project - I thought this would give the sweater more structure, and trimmed the edges with home-made bias tape (also to give structure). The sleeves are kind of bubbley/origami-esque. I might tack the extra down into a tuck with a button, but I haven't decided yet. There is a leather tab that slips over one of the brass poppy buttons at the neck to open/close. What do you think?

Here's the tutorial that was requested. If you have other questions, feel free to ask! =) (apologies if this pic is big)

Pretty!  I like the trim pattern a lot, especially w/ the color of the sweater.
