Let me just say, I love this set. Designed by Wendy of Knit and Tonic, it's quick, easy, great first cabling, and perfect perfect perfect for fall (which is just around the corner thankfully). I used three balls of Rowan Soft Tweed, which came from WEBS on the cheap. It only took a few days to get the whole thing together. Details on my blog http://pinsneedles.blogspot.com/2007/08/fall.html#links

I also knit this lovely set from 3 skeins of Malabrigo I bought at the LYS.

It's a bday gift for a friend, so there's nothing on my blog yet. I don't want him to accidentally stumble across it. I'm really excited for it. It started off as just a scarf. I like the vertical stripes as something different. I just dropped and later picked up colors as I needed them. Turns out I had plenty leftover so I made a hat using Kim's Hats patterns from Last Minute Knitted Gifts.

I love the colors, very fall-ish!  Brown is always a winner with me!

I used to be strictly a yarn girl but now I'm teaching myself to sew.  Help! Smiley
