Thanks, guys!  Zephren, I'd probably only have the patience to make a houndstooth that long...  Certainly not any longer! 

Krazigal, I love the button, too, and more and more each time I look at it.  You know, long scarves knotted at the neck are cute and everything, but so cliche!  Wink  I think all scarves should have buttons.

Yeah, the houdstooth does get on your last nerve after about 13 inches. I dont think I could have made a longer scarf either.

Why, this is the best thing ever for all of the scarves I'm making for friends this holiday that I'm fearful may be too short to wrap many times around their necks. Perfect for the one skein of yarn scarf.
