Cool idea.  I made one with fancy chenille yarn.  It's actually crocheted, but thanks for the great idea!! I daresay, you did start a trend after all!

Wow!  That is lovely!  I think I have some Lion Brand Chenille Thick and Quick in a grey much like that.  Maybe THIS is what I should do with it!  Hah!  Crocheting it would certainly make it easier to be sure the button would fit.  If I'd knitted it in any smaller yarn, I'd have had to make a buttonhole.  Thanks!

I'm on the bandwagon!  I can't post a pic, but I made a very skinny one in lovely earth tones, with a vintage bakelite button.  It's swank.  But I haven't been able to wear it, since it's been 70 degrees in theis crazy, mixed-up state I'm livin' in.  Boo for warm decembers.  Yay for snow!

I made one for my mom because she is always so cold, and she LOVES it!  She used it on the airplane on her trip to visit my sister and she said it was so great because it is much easier to keep in her carry on bag.  Plus, my sister loved it so she called me up to ask for the pattern!

Thanks so much for sharing this one!  Love love love it!
