In the latest swap I was in, i wanted to make clothes for my partner's Blythe dolls, and since i don't have any Blythes, I bought (4) vintage skippers on ebay, since i hear they match in body dimensions. And I think vintage skipper is just adorable! (this is why i got carried away and bought 4 of them instead of just one). I used patterns from the links here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=164004.0
for the shirts I used velcro for the backs, and for the skirt and pants i used those little metal snaps sewn on.

I loved this shirt pattern! although, i must admit i ddin't add the sleeves, and so the sleeve edges were unfinished. I crocheted that tiny shrug just to cover the messy non sleeved edges! it's made with crochet thread and my #7 crochet hook, using a honeycomb pattern. The purse is also crocheted- with an F hook and sock weight wool yarn. (from knitpicks)

Here's skipper with a black boatneck tshirt ( i cut up my boyfriend's tanktop for this). The little skirt wasn't as hard to make as I thought it was going to be. She's carrying a crocheted market bag, hahaha she is on her way to the market, we can only assume.

and i got those little boots on ebay. this is "living skipper" and her arms, legs and wrists can move.

All of those clothes are really amazing but I am most in love with your Skipper.  I've been longing for a Busy Hands Skipper myself but I think I'll just stare at yours.  *sigh*

thanks elasticcamel! my favorite are the pants, they were a lot easier to make than i thought they would be.

another person who loves skippers! i don't know busy hands skipper, do you have a picture of one on the net?? i got this one for $10 plus shipping $5.25 .http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230136738361 they are not expensive at all, like blythes! although their prices seem to fluctuate, it took me a while to get one of these, they're just so adorable.

Wow!  That was a really good price!  I see I was mistaking the Busy Hands Barbie  with Living Skipper.  They both have the bendable arms and wrists.  What I meant was, I love your Living Skipper!
