Decorative Ornament Hangers

I’ve been a frequent reader on these boards for some months, but this is my first contribution.
I hope you enjoy these. They are fun to make. This will be my second year selling them at a craft show after Thanksgiving (which I’ve been doing for 13-14 years with my mom- I‘m 21 now). At two dollars a set, they sell fast!

I developed these on account that those flimsy plain green hangers just had to go!
-20 gauge wire, the color of your choice. I use red, green, gold and silver.
-Beads with opening large enough for wire to go through. I use all glass beads.
-Needle-nose pliers
-Wire cutters
-Small plastic bags (can be found at a jewelry/craft store)

-Cut 7inches of wire for each hanger. Cut as many as you want to include in a set. I do 12.
-Experiment with designs. Spirals and zigzags work well. Just make sure the center of gravity will be right so an ornament doesn’t slip off and break! Try test-hanging your hanger on a tree branch outside or on a strong houseplant.
-You can choose to place a bead/s anywhere in the design you want.
-They turn out to be approx. 2 inches in length once completed, however, you can choose the size you want also. It depends on how many curls, zigzags and bends you make.
-Once you have the number of hangers you want in a set complete, put in a little bag and you’ve got an instant gift. They look nice tied to the outside of a wrapped present.
