Hi!  I've been wanting to do a bit more chain maille and I saw that a gal that I was swapping with had one of Hawkwolf's awesome chokers on her wist.  So I took the opportunity to try my hand at it for her.  I decided on a modified Japanese chain maille pattern for the choker instead of Hawkwolf's European 6 in 1. A big thanks to Hawkwolf for all his helpful advice.  Lana helped pick the stone for this so of course it is a green faceted stone.  And so I present the choker that we named Lady Ariel!

I was feeling inspired when I made this copper flower necklace.  I had bought these antique copper flowers off of ebay and added some green Swarovski crystals.  Since I couldn't find a copper chain in the stores I got wire and made some links.  I am really happy with the way it turned out.

I guess I'm on a choker kick so I made owl necklace with antique Mexican owl medalians and silver plated chain.
It looks really cool to me.

Thanks for looking.  Comments are always appreciated!  Smiley

The choker is absolutely beautiful.

I'm curious if you make your own chain, or if you buy it?  I've been doing small amounts of chain maille, but nothing this complex.

Great work.

Thanks Milkweed!!  I love the owls too.  I have one more set of them and I was thinking of making them into a belt.  I love the whole mommy, daddy, baby family here.

Neat Jazzturtle!!  You should definitely wear your treasures.  I love going to the Ren Fest here in MD.  I am thinking of making my daughter a belt or maybe some cuff style bracelets for the fair.

The choker is absolutely beautiful.

Thank you Ramenparty!!  I did make the chain mail for the choker portion, but the hanging chains in front are store bought.  I just got a mandrel and cutters from ACMoore last week which I used to make the links for the copper necklace.  It was really neat making my own links.  I will probably be making more.  I'd love to see what you're making!
