I have often thought that Florida does not take crafters and Artisans seriously. If you are a sculpture, painter, or photographer then this is the state for you and no others may apply. As a jewelry designer and bath product manufacturer (I do that at home Smiley) I can't seem to get local galleries to carry my jewelry (5 out of state do though so I know it isn't my work). Can anyone suggest ways of successfully selling in Florida without doing a church fair, spending money you don't have on juried shows and going to galleries that act as if you just started out? The main question is: How do you sell your wares in South Florida?

You should try stores on Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale and Mizner Park in Boca.  I know a lot of stores buy local artist wears.

When I worked in Mizner Park I would get at least 2 artist a week coming in without an appointment to show their creations and we bought from many of them.

happy hunting.
