It seems like this pillow took me forever to do!  Of course, the fac that I was constantly being distracted by other projects needing to be finished sooner had a little something to do with that.  Anyways, I have to admit I kinda stole the idea from someone.  I saw this picture on Flickr where a lady had ironed on the patterns and put the phrase "Not quite vintage" in the middle.. like mine.  Well, I was just so taken with it I couldn't help myself.  The phrase seemed to describe me to a tee.. So, I put my own twist on her idea and here is the finished project.  I hope ya'll like it.  I am very proud of it.  It didn't turn out exactly like I wanted.. as always.. but I really am happy with the final product.

Very cool. I wish I could get my Teeth into a project like that. Did you mainly use the split stitch?

Thanks!  I actually used the split and stem stitch the most.  I hate hate HATE the stem stitch.. it kicks my butt relentlessly!  So, I am constantly forcing myself to use it in the hopes that one day I will master it.  There's a lot of simple back stitch in there, too.  I like using different stitches to get different visual effects.  To me the split stitch seems more touchable.. kinda like a fabric or fur texture.  That's why you see a lot of split stitch in there.
