Mixed-Media Craftster Queen!!

Here is my entry! Let me explain it to ya! I first started out making a collage. Then, I scanned the collage into the computer and printed it out on t-shirt transfer paper. After I ironed it on the shirt, I cut it into a crown shape and sewed it onto two pieces of felt. I crazy stiched the heck out of it, and added the lace tie. Then I watched some House MD and added the beads.

I forgot to flip the picture before I printed it out on the t-shirt transfer paper... so it came out backwards. I kinda liked the way it came out tho, so happy accident! YAY!

I like to work in different medias when I craft or make art. I think I'm  a mixed-media craftster... so why not proclaim myself the queen? haha! Although I do think that's a bit narcissistic. haha!

I've never tried it like that before. I've done transfers and then sewed them on like a patch or something... but never used it like fabric.

You know I think it looks neat backwards, not that it doesn't forwards. I bet it will make someone think they just can't read if you didn't tell them beforehand. Really cool crown, your majesty(as I curtsy in your presence).

awww thanks. You know I think it looks really cool backwards too... it kinda makes the words not so distracting. Or maybe more so... but being you can't really read the wording, you have to focus on other things. I love happy accidents!

That just rocks hard!  I've never tried anything like that - I love collage, and never thought of transforming one to craftable fabric.  So creative!  Also, I too find Hugh Laurie inspiring, but I find the drool interferes with whatever I'm working on, so I've learned to just watch

This is such a cool creative project!  I really love the way it looks - the collage-fabric combination is such a neat idea, and the shape of the crown is great.  Beautiful work!
