Hi! I'm Ally, I'm 16 and I'm new to Craftster - I signed up for sewing help, but saw this forum and I knew I had something to contribute!

This is a stained glass project I did this past year. I was sophomore in highschool and unfortunately I won't be able to continue glass as a junior - I've opted to take higher level photo and studio art classes instead and don't have time to continue glass (I'm not that good at it, anyways!). This is the only picture I have of my swan. When I went to get it on the last day of school, my teacher informed me that it had never been framed. Apparently someone stole it. I was really upset at first, but I guess the joke is on them, since it isn't very well made, heh. Hopefully you like it, though!

I think your swan is beautiful and hope whoever stole it has bad luck.

Lovely work. The green is so deep and pretty.  Smiley

Hey that is good for your first window. My first one took me the better part of a semester so I know how it goes.
Oh that makes me so angry when people steal others art work! It happens a lot at my college. They have small shows in the library and someone stole 5 paintings from one of them last semester. Right off the wall in the library.

Great color choices! If you keep this up you're going to be one accomplished artist by the time you graduate from high school!

Thanks guys! I was talking to my friend yesterday and we've decided that it is unlikely that somebody actually stole it, despite what my teacher said. I think someone might have broken it and then thrown it out in embarassment, because that seems slightly more likely. But I'm glad you like it, I spent a lot of time on it. :]

You have a glass class in your high school?  I am very jealous!  We didn't have anything that cool at my old high school!
