I can't believe that after all of my years as a professional thrift shopper that I haven't ever seen this website! I am planning a move to the mid-west soon and this will come in handy on my way across the country. We are planning on driving (from southern California to Ohio) and I can't help but hope that my sweetie will let me make a few pit stops along the way. If it were just me then I would plan the whole route around tourist traps and thrift stores with a big u-haul hitched behind my truck. One can dream, right?

cool resource!  few of the spots in my town were posted, but there's plenty in the city I'm moving back to--which is funny, cause I lived there for ten years and had no idea.  This thrifting thing is only a recent phenomenon in my life but OH have I saved a lot of money, and I get great stuff.  Thanks for sharing!

I love thrift stores. I used to frequent yard sales every weekend, but they seem to be slowly falling out of favor.

I love this site and use it whenever traveling.  Everyone laughs at me since when we go on trips, I have binder and one of the things that are listed, are thrifts stores in every town that we are passing through.  Don't forget to go back to the site after visiting the stores you get the names of from there and rate them.  I find the rating part helpful, since that will determine whether I drive way far out of the way or not.
