So my brother is getting married tommorrow, and i needed a dress for the wedding. i couldn't find a single one that i liked, so i decided to try my hand at making dresses. i've only ever made skirts. i just drew a picture and figured out how to make it...so here it is...

For the skirt i used moonunit426's tutorial...seen here... http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=8617.0 and i used a pattern for the top. The pattern was actually for some ugly old lady shirt (no offense anyone!) it had no form and baggy 3/4 sleeves, so i (with help of my mom) fixed it, a LOT! so yeah, that's my new dress! i'm so happy with it, i might try making another one someday!

That is realy great, I adore anything corset related. I love that you figured out how to do it on your own, I have to say though, being utterly honest I think the whole, un-even , jagged, torn bottom on skirts is pretty used up, but that's just my even hemmed opinion. Great work!

I'm impressed that you just put this together. It looks great and I love the simplicity of it.

Good job!
