Alright, to better suit our busy schedules, we've switched weeks for the meet-ups. We will be meeting next Sunday, November 11, at 10:30 am-ish (as in around that time, not amish, the way of life). We'll be there for 1.5 to 2 hours.
The next one will be two weeks after and so on.

A little log of the meeting: Jen, Randi and I were there, as well as Jen's mom. Randi and Jen were both knitting hats, I was crocheting (very little, as I have no motivation) and cross stitching, and Jen's mom was quilting some crazy kitties. They were very cute.
Also, I had to frog what little crocheting I got done because it was very hexagon shaped and I needed a circle. Too bad for me.

Hopefully next week we'll have some more people.

when you get to the part with the thumb call me if it doesn't branch off from the side. I have some advice to make adding it later if it's on the palm easier.
I really need to fix the yarn that Bowie gutted and make my other mitten.

its the same type of thumb as yours, an "after thought" thumb. i think im going to make both mittens and then go back and make both thumbs at the same time. after i finish mine im gonna make the pirate ones for Dubes and I'm going to make a hat for Dani. She found a picture in a magazine I'm going to make up a pattern for. It's wicked cute.

after thought thumbs suck. A LOT. They're really hard to get back on the needle after. It's a good idea to knit floss into each row separately that way, when you pull out the waste yarn, you've still got those stitches on something so you wont drop them. I'm really wishing I had done that for the first pair. It sucks. Also, careful with your tension. My mitts are really freakin tight because of how tightly I carried. Sad

I finished my hat too - and it fits this time! Only took 3 tries.

It looks like he's squishing our cat to death, but I promise he isn't. She hates having her picture taken, but there's so much of her knitted into the hat that I thought it only appropriate she be in the picture too.

That's awesome... cute cat!!
I think we should definately continue to post FOs in here... maybe it will encourage other people to show up.

That'd be neat... not that I don't like the cozy atmosphere, I would just like to meet more knitters....

... and keep the creepy guy away.

I'm rethinking my design for the nintendo bad. it's very sad.
and frustrating.
