I'm still just playing with roving I have left over from needle felting. Trying to get some techniques down before I invest in anything really nice. Definitely better than my first attempt! (Sorry, my camera sucks and there's no sun today.)

Day 2, Plying with thread:

Denim blue with metallic thread, yellow with green thread.

Some carroty orange plied with red thread, still on the niddy noddy.

Day 3, Plying singles:

Purple with purple. The skein doesn't seem to want to twist at all so I guess it must be pretty well balanced?

My spindle was unfinished and would catch on my clothes sometimes so I decided to sand it down and paint & seal it. Sadly I didn't think far enough ahead to realise I wouldn't be able to use it for at least a day! Black with green flames - I'm pretty sure it's going to spin faster now.   Wink

Any advice or suggestions are more than welcome!
